Hi and thank you for looking at my site!

I should probably start with the fact that I'm a native Lithuanian, since I feel that it defines by no small part who I am as a person.

While still in highschool, I expressed my interest in arts: I was always involved in organizing events, was part of school theater, took art classes, etc. Later, stage directing and acting studies in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre introduced me to theatrical makeup. I realized to what great extent the effectiveness of a character depends on the artistry and skill of a good theatrial makeup department. I found it to be a good way to express myself artistically and while strongly encouraged by my makeup teacher, I applied to Giedre Fledzinskiene Art College to study theatrical makeup.

Already in my second year I was employed as a makeup artist in Lithuanian Film Studio and gained some invaluable experience working on multiple American productions. I was given a chance to improve my skills and earn certification in Elegance International School of Professional Make-up in Los Angeles. Upon returning back to Lithuania, I successfully continued working on European and American film productions, Lithuanian commercials, TV shows, various fashion events, magazines, etc.

I've been living in Los Angeles since 2003 and have been working as a freelancer on various photo and video projects, commercials, editorials, etc. since 2005.

10 years in this field have allowed me to successfully combine European makeup tradition with the American one and rewarded me with an extensive range in experience - I'm comfortable with anything from theatrical to wedding makeup.

I speak English, Lithuanian and Russian.

Please let me know what your needs are! I will be happy to e-mail you my rates.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Ausra
